Leaving your home alone and empty can be a pretty scary thing. Even though you’ve prepared the best you could, not being there to handle the normal things that come up – let alone any emergencies that may happen in your absence – can cause a lot of anxiety. It can cost a lot of money too. Let’s face it, many things can happen to your home while you’re not there. That’s where we come in.

We make sure your air conditioning (or heating) is operating, your lights are working, your landscaping is being cared for, and your pool is being maintained. Before we leave each week, we check that your security alarm system has a dial tone and is armed. If we discover any problems, we contact you and coordinate resolution. We are here to communicate with your existing service providers (such as pool and landscaping services), to recommend trusted vendors, or to fix the issue directly for you (in the case of handyman and cleaning services).

We check temperatures and humidity levels inside your home and make any necessary adjustments, so that your home’s interior is unaffected by the harsh climate. We look for plumbing leaks, clogged sprinkler heads, and damaged faucets. We watch for signs of insect or rodent activity, and we check for any unusual odors. We do all this once a week, and if we find anything that needs attention, we report it to you and have the problem addressed promptly.

Our Home Watch service also includes checking all major appliances, including your washer, dishwasher, water heater, refrigerator, freezer, and wine cooler. If you are away from your home longer than you anticipated, we check to see if food in your refrigerator or pantry has expired. If it has, we discard it.

 

During our weekly inspection, we check doors and windows from the inside and outside of the house to make sure they are secure.
